Our story
Began in 1993, with a dream and a passion for great coffee. Fresh out of SUNY Brockport, Peter Apicella noticed a glaring gap in the local scene—there simply wasn’t a coffee shop in Brockport offering the kind of quality coffee he craved. Fueled by this realization, Java Junction was born. What started as a humble shop in a cozy space next to our current location quickly grew into something more. In those early days, we offered only pastries and coffee, but the love for coffee pushed us further. We began experimenting with roasting our own beans, determined to bring out the best flavors.
As our menu expanded to include breakfast and lunch, so did our space. In 1995, we moved to our current location, where we’ve been honing our craft ever since. The journey has been one of constant evolution—refining our roasting techniques, perfecting our recipes, and creating a space where the community could come together over a great cup of coffee.
Like many small businesses, the pandemic was a challenging time
But thanks to the unwavering support of our loyal customers, we persevered. Your continued belief in what we do has allowed us to not only survive but thrive. This year, we took a significant step forward by launching our online coffee shop, making it easier than ever for you to enjoy our signature roasts no matter where you are.
